Brief History

The school, Chung Jen Vocational High School of Nursing, was founded by the Sisters of Our Lady of China in the year of 1970 with the permission from the Ministry of Education. The location of Chung-Jen was settled at Hung Mao Pi, Lu-Tso district, which is located in the Lan Tan Scenic Area. Along with the prioritization of medical treatment, the Board of Directors worked on restructuring the school into a Five-Year College. Chung-Jen purchased nearly ten hectares of land as new campus from the Taiwan Sugar Company in Da-Lin. In 2005, the school was approved to upgrade to a junior college, with the Chung Jen Junior College of Nursing, Health Sciences and Management permitted by the MOE.
The Da-lin Campus was started in 2007. Since then, the school has had two campuses, Da-lin and Chia-yi. At present, the school has established many unique departments, the Department of Food and Beverage Management, the Department of Cosmetics Health Care, the Department of Applied Foreign Languages and the Department of Elder Care and Business Management. Those departments have great connections with the industry. As a result, Chung Jen has been cultivating many splendid and prestigious talents in Taiwanese society.
