Objective:  
  The objective is to cultivate professional and practical staffing with the qualities of respect and caring, as well as skills for elder care, health promotion and management. We also expect students to be equated with the six core abilities: professional skills, strong career devotion, problem-solving abilities, service management, life-long learning and a passion for life.

Characteristics:  
 
  • (1)  Five certification tests before graduation: The teachers would assist students to receive at least five professional certificates before graduation. Students are thus ready to initiate their career after graduation.
  • (2)  Bright career prospects: Many job vacancies in elder services are available. We have already signed contracts with many institutes. In the fifth academic year, students can choose their ideal institutes. Meanwhile, students would receive scholarship from the institutes.
  • (3)  Pay during practical training: The institutes would provide a salary to the students.
  • (4)  Arranging visits abroad: The school had already signed contracts with some well-known institutes in Japan. Students will be having opportunities for making visits abroad.
  • (5)  Extending opportunities for studies: Students in Taiwan can go on their studies in two-year colleges or directly go into graduate programs with three-year working experience.

Curriculum:  
 
  • (1)  Life caring: Students will learn elder caring knowledge and skills, bathing assistance at home, oral care for seniors, elder life recovery, elder illness and medicine knowledge, etc.
  • (2)  Health promotion: Students will get to know elder health evaluation, elder activity design, elder leisure management, elder beauty caring, elder physical fitness, etc.
  • (3)  Service management: Students will cultivate their willing-to-help skills, design and evaluation of projects, elder service management for association, visits to elder service institutes.
  • (4)  Practical in-service courses: Students will experience elder caring in institutes, elder services in communities, in-services programs for health promotion, in-service courses for elder service management etc.

Facilities:  
  Our school provides the up-to-date equipment for professional classrooms, including elder imitation for health promotion, caring demonstration for elder whole caring, multi- functional demonstration and multi-functional experiments etc.

Certificates and Licenses:  
  The teachers would assist students to get at least five certificates before graduation, including technician for caring service, BLS emergency certificate, level C computer certificate, two licenses for health promotion, such as directors for elder physical fitness and musical treatment. Students should become qualified after graduation.

Career Plan:  
 
  • (1)  Studies: Students can go on with their studies on related subjects in two-year colleges, such as elder caring, elder caring service management, elder welfare business, social work etc. 2. Job Employment: (1) Students can get a care certificate and work as a qualified assistant in elder service institutes, medical centers, home service and other related institutes.
  • (2)  Students can become the administration co- workers in the following places:
    • (i) Administrative staff in senior care associations
    • (ii) Home service assistants Presidents or directors in long-term institutes for elder caring, senile dementia and home care institutes
  • (3) Students can join other related working areas, such as senior leisure, tourism, care etc.
  • (4) Students can explore alternative areas, such as Chinese medical care, aromatherapy etc.

Achivement:
 
 
Many job vacancies in elder services are available. Certain institutes offer positions for our students. In the fifth academic year, students can choose their ideal institute. Meanwhile, students would receive scholarship from the institutes. Moreover, the school had already signed contracts with several well-known institutes in Japan. Students will be having opportunities of foreign visits.
